The show's motto is unmistakable: RICHLY IS GOODLY!
Please consider how you define the term good as we journey through life together in your pursuit of defining the term richly in your life.
The plan for my presentations to you was to first establish a foundation of shared understanding between you, the listener, and me. Then, proceed to build on that foundation with subsequent episodes. I recommend that you review the nine episodes between December 2nd, 2025, through January 27th, 2026, as you see fit to help you remember the foundation of our shared understanding as we proceed through each episode you hear in the coming weeks, months, and years.
I presented on December 9th, 2025, the first principle I have found as paramount, undeniable, and non-negotiable to living life more richly:
Understand Your Data Lifecycle
I presented on January 20th, 2026, the first aspect of The Truth:
Arrogance Precedes Anger
AND
Anger Precedes Violence
This condition is the first principle I have found as paramount, undeniable, and non-negotiable to living life more richly:
Understand Your Data Lifecycle
This action is the first aspect of The Truth:
Arrogance Precedes Anger
AND
Anger Precedes Violence
Last week, I presented seven questions I had received from listeners about The Richly or Poorly Show. I shared the questions and my answers with my intended audience.
I received a notable response theme from listeners about this episode. Many listeners told me they are afraid of global events today, to the point they are hindered from trying to live their life more richly.
Today, I will present on the topic of fear. I will present some world history for context, and current events from both physical and monetary views that could easily cause a person to be concerned for their safety, with the intent to deliver tangible actions for how to deal effectively with fear.
Let's start by defining fear. Fear is defined as...
False
Evidence
Appearing
Real
F-E-A-R
Fear is simple to handle. Define the facts, then deal with each fact based on its urgency within the moment.
I presented on December 9th, 2025, the first principle I have found as paramount, undeniable, and non-negotiable to living life more richly:
Understand Your Data Lifecycle
Your Data Lifecycle consists only of facts. The lifecycle is a constant action of taking the stuff you have and identifying facts in the pile of stuff. Then treat each fact as you see fit.
Now, let's consider some context of fear by considering some world history.
King Charles I of England was arrested by the English Parliament in 1646. They arrested him as part of their civil war at the time. Essentially, the people wanted more power over the King, the King pushed back by disbanding the Parliament as no longer necessary to help rule England, and that did not go well with the people. The people arrested King Charles I, held him in confinement for almost three years, and cut off his head by a formal execution almost three years later to the day from when he was arrested. The family of King Charles I was spared by the people of England.
February 2026, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, a former Prince of the United Kingdom, was arrested by the UK Police on suspicion of misconduct in public office in connection with leaking sensitive political and market information to the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The last time anyone in the United Kingdom monarchy was arrested was King Charles I.
February 2026, Former British ambassador to the U.S. Peter Mandelson was arrested by the UK Police on the same charge, leaking sensitive political and market information to the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Both Mountbatten-Windsor and Mandelson now face life in prison for their charges, should either of them be convicted.
February 2026, South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol was convicted by the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea of violating his authority as president in 2024. He was sentenced to life in prison. Essentially, he declared martial law out of fear that North Korea was soon to attack South Korea, the people of South Korea thought that would agitate North Korea, and demanded that martial law be stopped.
February 2026, the leader of a narcotics manufacturing and distributing organization in Mexico, Ruben Nemesio Oseguera "El Mencho" Cervantes, leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel, was killed in a security operation conducted by the Mexican Army in coordination with the assistance of the United States, causing nationwide unrest and violence in Mexico.
February 2026, demonstrations by the people of Iran against their government have resulted in the leadership of Iran developing a rudimentary nuclear weapon and stating they would use it against any nation that attempts to help overthrow the leadership of Iran.
So, what is the pattern here? The pattern I see is a leader decides to exceed the comfort of their followers, their followers decide enough is enough, and the leader is removed. The events surrounding the removal caused great harm to the people. Their money is damaged by selling out their country's efforts for trade. Their peace is removed by military and terrorist violence. Their freedom is removed by limitations of martial law, transitions of governments, and the inability to go out of the house due to the likelihood of being shot by a stray bullet.
Outlining: The pattern is money and comfort. This sounds a whole lot like living life more richly to me.
Remember, the majority of people are focused on things like paying their electric bill and putting food on their table, while also having some money in their bank account.
Let's look at other sources of fear.
Money in the pocket is great, but when a person is ill to the point of death, money only helps so much.
Family is great, but when a family member says goodbye to their parents or child, money only helps so much.
Money in the bank is great, but when senseless leadership takes the money through illogical taxes, money only helps so much.
South Korea is telling the world to go away. They are scared of North Korea and China. Going away is great, but LG Electronics, the Hyundai Motor Corporation, and their KIA subsidiary are global corporations. No global corporation can tell the world to go away and remain a global corporation.
The United Kingdom is at a loss about how to handle its monarchy and its Parliament. It seems the Parliament will win in how to run the country. The United Kingdom without a monarchy would be a first for them.
Iran, it sure looks like the international community will remove Iran's ability to use a nuclear weapon.
Mexico, there is no longer a valid business use case to either manufacture in or ship through Mexico. Mexico's economic position will worsen exponentially.
Clearly, the people of South Korea, the United Kingdom, Iran, and Mexico have many reasons to be concerned because of their declining welfare. Hopefully, they can press through fear and get to facts, then act wisely on the facts.
I do not judge the people of either South Korea, the United Kingdom, Iran, or Mexico. It is up to the people of these countries to decide how they want to live their lives. I am glad I do not have to live in the circumstances they face today. Specifically, the loss of credibility as a developed nation, as a cultured and educated people, and as a land where both economic opportunity and freedom of speech no longer exist. I do not see any of these attributes as living life more richly. I see all of them as a decline in quality of life, monetary position, and loss of interest from those abroad in wanting to help them.
The world of today sure looks bleak to me, but I am an optimist. It has also looked grim in the past. However, today is different as we have real-time access to news. We tend to believe global events are occurring in our backyard when they are not because we become so wrapped up in how the news is presented today.
Here are my suggestions to deal with fear.
First, decide your priorities. This decision comes from knowing your worldview, your morality, and your virtues. I have presented extensively on these three topics in previous episodes.
Second, decide who is a part of your life both today and going forward. Say goodbye to everyone else for now. Perhaps those who are a part of your life will change one day, but today is today.
Third, work on today what you can with what you have in your hand today. What you have in your hand may be insufficient to complete some type of work you have before you now, but there is always research and planning to be accomplished with all forms of work.
Finally, remember how bad life could become for you. If you do not have bullets flying near your head or a nuclear weapon about to explode near you, then life is not too bad. If you have either of these conditions occurring near you, then remember you are still alive. If you have someone you love who does not return your love, then tell them once more you love them and let them go from your life for today. If you do not have the money you want today, then be glad for the money you have today as you continue to work to gain more money in your pocket.
This set of suggestions may sound both brief and direct, but they are the distillation of eradicating fear from your life by staying with facts.
Hopefully, you now have a stronger context of how good you have it in life, how you can eliminate fear from your life, and how you can live your life more richly.
Well, that's it for today.
